This five-star hotel was formerly a private home where until 1968 several families of illustrious Bordeaux residents resided. The hotel was then looking to grow when a well-known doctor who operated a physiotherapy clinic requested that fitness and wellness areas with jacuzzi be developed for his patients. The garden now has a brand-new structure. In recognition of the neighborhood’s life during the Gallo-Roman era, the hotel has been renamed Le Palais Gallien. The only monument still in use since the second century is the amphitheater in Bordeaux, locally known as “Le Palais Gallien” by locals. This Colosseum served as the city’s main landmark when Bordeaux was still known as Burdigala. Every Elegance room in our building dates back to the 19th century and has its own unique character. They all have views of the street or garden. These 25m2 rooms are elegant and cozy, with traditional styling and modern furnishings. Large walk-in showers are featured in the marble-decorated bathrooms.
